Russian consulates in China

There are 5 Russian diplomatic missions in China that handle visas. Open any city for the full address, phone, email, opening hours, jurisdiction and the visa application center that serves it.

All Russian consulates in China

Applying directly at the consulate

As of today, document intake is generally handled directly by the Russian consulate that serves you. Here is how that works in practice.

How does direct document submission at the Russian consulate work?

Direct submission means you lodge your visa application with the Russian consulate itself rather than through an intermediary. Prepare the documents listed by that mission for your category, including the applicable category-specific supporting document, book an appointment where required, submit the file and fee, then collect the passport after a decision. The consulate that serves your district in China is the responsible office.

Do I have to apply in person, or can someone submit on my behalf?

Many Russian consulates accept applications submitted by a representative or by post for certain visa categories, while others require the applicant to appear in person — rules vary by consulate and by visa type. Always check the specific requirements of the consulate in China on its official website before you travel to it.

Do I need an appointment to submit documents directly?

Some consulates work strictly by appointment booked through their online system, others accept walk-ins during fixed reception hours. Because appointment slots can fill up well in advance, plan early and confirm the booking procedure on the consulate's official page.
